Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said taxi and auto stands will be constructed in the name of the famous Kannada actor late Shankarnag by identifying vacant sites in cities and towns. He also said that Karnataka governemnt will provide free coaching to 10,000 youth from SC, ST and minority communities for Agniveer scheme in the Indian Army. Earlier, a ruckus broke out in the Assembly as CM Bommai began presenting the 2023-24 Budget. This is the CM's second budget and the BJP government's last in the current term. The CM has listed various government programmes that are currently being implemented in the state and indicated that the future budget will be focused on programmes that would provide additional help to the working classes, women, and youth.
