Karnataka: After BSY, Siddaramaiah, BJP minister ST Somashekhar tests positive for COVID-19

Synopsis

Karnataka cooperatives minister ST Somashekhar and Chamundeshwari MLA GT Devegowda are the latest politicians who have been tested positive for COVID-19  

Bengaluru: After Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) three days ago, the next day former chief minister Siddaramaiah was infected with the deadly virus. Now, two more leaders have tested COVID positive.

Minister for cooperatives ST Somashekhar and Chamundeshwari MLA GT Devegowda are the latest political leaders from Karnataka who have tested positive for COVID. However, Somashekhar and Devegowda are asymptomatic.

While Devegowda through his official twitter handle asked his supporters and those who came in contact with him recently to undergo tests and also self quarantine, BJP minister Somashekhar got admitted to a hospital and is undergoing treatment. He is in stable condition, as per reports.

Meanwhile, those (reporters, acquaintances and others) who came in contact with Siddaramaiah are breathing a sigh of relief as their results for COVID-19 came negative in rapid tests.
