It looks like the CBI’s grilling of Veerendra Tawade, who was arrested in connection with the murder of rationalist Dr Narendra Dhabolkar, is going the right way. The agency claims it has found crucial information, with regards to over a hundred bank accounts that the Samstha operated.
These bank accounts were being operated by Saranga Akolakar, accused in the Madgaon bomb blast, Rudragowda Patil and Vinay Pawar of Sanathan Samstha, stated Maharashtra Times.
The CBI has also retrieved a mobile number ending with 169, used by one of the active members of Sanathan Samstha. It has also seized a 2TB hard disk from Panvel in Mumbai.
The CBI also has taken a Kshatradharma Sadhana book written by Jayantha Balaji Atavale, founder of Sanathan Samstha. The book had mentioned Narendra Dhabolkar and Govind Pansare. Currently, CBI has summoned Tawade’s wife back to India, and she is being quizzed in the presence of Tawade.
The CBI is trying to get more information through these seizures, said advocate BP Raju in his statement to the court.
