
Moodbidri: Supreme Court today delivered a historic judgment on the disputed land of Ayodhya. Accordingly, the disputed land of 2.77 acres has been given to Ram Janmbhoomi to build the temple and the court directed the Centre-formed Trust to allot 5-acre land to the Sunni Waqf Board to build a mosque at an alternate land.
The verdict was pronounced unanimously after 40-day marathon hearing.
Five-judge bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SA Bobde, Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice S Abdul Nazeer delivered the historic judgment.

Abdul Nazeer was born at Belvai, Moodbidri in Karnataka. He was born on January 5, 1958. He completed his primary education at Belvai and pursued BCom at Mahaveer College in Moodbidri. Later, he graduated from SDM College in law.
He started working as a lawyer at the Karnataka high court in 1983. He was in the high court till 2003 as an advocate. He was appointed as judge at the high court in 2003. He was appointed to the Supreme Court in 2017.
Abdul Nazeer was also the sole Muslim justice in the five-judge bench that had delivered its judgment on Triple Talaq.
