Synopsis

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) prediction, a thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain is likely in many parts of Delhi and Haryana and Rajasthan.   

Giving a major relief to Delhiites from sultry weather conditions, several parts of the national capital received incessant rainfall on Tuesday morning. 
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) prediction, a thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain is likely in many parts of Delhi and Haryana and Rajasthan. It also said that due to the rain, air quality in the national capital is also expected to stay in the satisfactory category this week.

The sudden change in weather brought a plethora of reactions on social media as netizens rejoiced the drop in temperature. Many people shared several pictures and videos of the rain and waterlogging they faced. 
Soon the hashtag #DelhiRains began trending on social media. Here, take a look at some of the reactions doing the rounds online.

 

Taking to Twitter, IMD said: "Thunderstorms with moderate to heavy intensity rain would occur over many places of South-west Delhi, New-Delhi (IGI Airport, Dwarka, Palam), Central Delhi, South-Delhi, Southwest-Delhi, Gurugram, Manesar, Sohna, Bhiwadi, Bawal, Rewari, Manesar (Haryana) and light to moderate intensity over isolated places of Narnaul, Panipat, Nuh, karnal, Safidon, (Haryana), Tizara, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Rajgarh, Deeeg, Nagar, Khairthal, Mehndipur, Mahwa, Lachmanngarh, Nadbai (Rajasthan) and adjoining areas during the next 2 hours."
