In a startling murder case in Kurukshetra, Haryana, a lady killed her husband, removed his intestines, and then, in a panic, leaped over the terrace of their leased home. The victim Rajesh and his wife Vimla Devi were living near Raj Palace on Pehowa Road in Kurukshetra in a rented house. On the day of the crime, their landlord, Rinku, claimed that he heard the couple shouting at around 5 pm. He hurried to the terrace when he heard the disturbance. The next thing he saw was a scene straight out of a crime film.

Rajesh had serious injuries to his abdomen and was laying in a pool of blood. According to reports, the landlord witnessed Vimla placing Rajesh's excreted intestines in a bag. The lady allegedly panicked and leaped off the rooftop upon spotting the landlord. The accused was injured in the fall and was admitted to the hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. Police are attempting to record his statement.

According to officials, Rajesh, a native of Dhampur village in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur district, was living with his wife in Kurukshetra for about a year. He worked in the supply department for a water trading company on Pehowa Road. The post-mortem examination revealed the extent of the injuries. According to the findings, Rajesh's abdomen had been cut open to around 35 centimetres, with deep wounds caused by sharp-edged weapons. His intestines had reportedly come out of the abdominal cavity.

Additionally, a significant piece of his liver and right kidney were gone, according to the post-mortem. The circumstances surrounding these injuries and the missing organs are being looked into by police.

From the murder site, three knives of various sizes were found. After learning about the incident, Station House officer Surinder Singh and his police teams arrived at the scene. Forensic evidence was gathered and the scene was inspected. According to the landlord, Vimla was also involved in traditional healing and exorcism-related practices, while the couple frequently quarrelled. However, the exact motive behind the alleged murder has not yet been established.

Officials said the investigation would be taken forward on the basis of the woman's statement, forensic evidence and the post-mortem report.
