Synopsis

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini interacted with the Haryanvi diaspora in Mumbai for 'Happening Haryana 2.0', urging them to participate in the state's development. MoUs worth over ₹66,000 crore are expected to be signed at the summit.

Harayana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday interacted with diaspora families from Haryana as part of 'Happening Haryana 2.0' international outreach and Global Capital Campaign here and said that Haryanvis living outside the state are its extended strength and ambassadors of its positive identity. He called upon the diaspora to remain connected with their motherland and actively participate in the development of the state.

During the three-day investor summit being held from August 23 to 25, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth over Rs 66,000 crore are expected to be signed, a release said.

Forging Bonds and a New Identity

The Chief Minister said that the relationship between Haryana and Mumbai is not merely one of birthplace and workplace, but a bond of values and opportunities, hard work and expansion. Haryana has instilled in its people the values of hard work, discipline and resilience in difficult circumstances, while Mumbai has provided them a platform to transform their talent into greater opportunities. He said that Haryanvis settled in Mumbai are a living bridge between the two states and are playing an important role in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat'.

The Chief Minister said that Haryana is no longer limited to its identity as an agriculture-based state. Industry, services, technology, startups, logistics, sports, education and innovation are emerging as key pillars of the state's new development journey. The government is working to ensure that the benefits of development reach every part of the state and that youth in villages get access to quality education, skills and employment opportunities. Special emphasis is also being laid on connecting farmers with modern technology, processing, branding and exports, and integrating MSMEs with larger supply chains.

CM's Appeal to the Diaspora

The Chief Minister told the diaspora that they possess experience, expertise, business networks and resources that can prove valuable for Haryana's youth, entrepreneurs and institutions. He said, "I have not come to you asking only for investment, but also for ideas and participation." He called upon the diaspora to contribute by mentoring students and startups, supporting sportspersons, connecting women's self-help groups with markets, and helping Haryana's products reach Mumbai and global markets.

Saini said that Mumbai's experience in areas such as artificial intelligence, fintech, media and entertainment, design, electric mobility, clean energy, sports management, agri-tech and global services is extremely important for Haryana. He said that a strong platform should be developed where Haryanvi youth living in Mumbai can connect with students, startups and institutions in Haryana to share their knowledge and experience. The Chief Minister also urged the Haryanvi community to pass on its language, culture and traditions to the next generation.

Commitment to Growth and Investment

The Haryana Government is committed to maintaining continuous engagement with its citizens living outside the state. "Haryana is not far from you. In happiness, adversity, opportunity and responsibility, Haryana stands with you like a family."

Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that wherever Haryanvis have gone, they have achieved new milestones of success through their hard work and dedication. Haryana is not a leader only in agriculture and sports, but is also rapidly advancing in industry, IT, automobiles, startups, education, healthcare and the services sector. The state government is creating an investor-friendly environment in Haryana and providing industries with the necessary facilities and better infrastructure. (ANI)
