The deceased are Aravind, a native of Thiruvananthapuram's Kudappanakunnu and Dharmapal.  

Ranchi: In an unfortunate incident, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan from Kerala and his counterpart lost their lives after a vehicle hit them on Monday. 

The deceased are Aravind, a native of Thiruvananthapuram's Kudappanakunnu and Dharmapal.

The incident happened under the Patratu police limit in the Ramgarh district when an unidentified speeding vehicle allegedly hit them. According to reports, after hitting them, the driver of the vehicle escaped from the site leaving them abandoned on the road for a long time.

As soon as the information was received, CISF Senior Commandant Mahesh Parvel, Commandant Virendra Singh and other CISF officers and officers of Patratu police station reached the spot and brought the body to PVUNL Hospital.

On reaching the hospital, both were declared dead. Meanwhile, police have been hunting for the vehicle and the driver.
