Congress candidate Jitesh, son of late Raosaheb Antapurkar after 12 rounds of counting received 60,116 votes against 39,034 polled by BJP’s Sabne. Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray congratulates Congress' Jitesh Raosaheb Antapurkar for winning Deglur bypolls.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the Thowra, Bhabanipur, Mariani seats in Assam, while its ally UPPL claimed victory in Gossaigaon.

The Janata Dal (United) retained the reserved Kusheshwar Asthan Assembly seat by annihilating the nearest rival, of Lalu Prasad’s RJD, by a comfortable margin of more than 12,000 votes. Meghalaya's ruling party NPP won Rajabala Assembly constituency, as its candidate Md.
