Mangaluru: Even before the dust could settle down from the rally and shootout of anti-CAA and NRC  protesters that took place on December 19, fear loomed large in Mangaluru, Karnataka, after a laptop was left abandoned at the ticket centre triggering panic among passengers and airport staff.

It is reported that a man arrived at the airport in an auto-rickshaw at 8 am, kept the bag on the chair and left the place at 9.30 am. These movements have been captured on CCTV cameras.

Soon after this message was spread, the police arrived with its bomb disposal squad and have placed the bag in a vehicle where is it is being diffused. The commissioner himself arrived at the airport and is monitoring the situation. Based on his direction, all the vehicles entering the airport and surroundings are being checked.
