After an early scare, the NDA is now ahead of the Mahagathbandhan and is looking to secure a majority in the Bihar assembly. The current trends suggest that the ruling coalition has crossed the halfway mark.

There is a neck-and-neck race between the Grand Alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav and Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance, while Lok Janshakti Party's (LJP's) Chirag Paswan is looking to take forward late father's Ram Vilas Paswan's legacy.
