Bengaluru riots case: SDPI offices among 43 locations raided by NIA

The National Investigation Agency has conducted raids at 43 locations in Bengaluru, including 4 offices of Social Democratic Party of India, in connection with the August 11 rioting and violence in DJ Halli & KG Halli localities of the city.

The National Investigation Agency has conducted raids at 43 locations in Bengaluru, including 4 offices of Social Democratic Party of India, in connection with the August 11 rioting and violence in DJ Halli & KG Halli localities of the city.

Social Democratic Party of India is the political wing of the Popular Front of India.

According to reports, incriminating documents have been seized from some places.

Sources said the raids were part of investigations into cases pertaining to large-scale rioting, causing injuries to police personnel, destruction of public and private property, including the police stations, and public and private vehicles. 

The rioters, who were armed with lethal weapons, triggered fear and panic in the nearby areas and intended to terrorise people, sources added.
