Synopsis

The ‘Adwitiya Ramlila 2026’ in Rohini concluded on Vijayadashami, attended by BJP's Smriti Irani. The event celebrated Lord Ram's life, with speakers highlighting its role in passing on Indian culture and the victory of good over evil.

The ‘Adwitiya Ramlila 2026’, organised by Sanatan Sanskaaram Society in Sector 23, Rohini, concluded with a grand celebration on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami. Held from October 9 to October 20, the Ramlila presented various episodes from the life of Lord Ram, highlighting his ideals, dignity and the rich traditions of Indian culture.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and former Union Minister Smriti Irani attended the concluding ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Victory of Good Over Evil

On the occasion, Delhi Minister for Social Welfare, Ravinder Indraj Singh, said that Vijayadashami symbolises the victory of good over evil. "While Ravana Dahan takes place on one hand, the coronation of Lord Shri Ram on the other conveys the message of ideal governance, dignity and the establishment of dharma."

Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh said that Ramlila is not merely a religious event but also an important medium for passing on Indian culture, moral values and an ideal way of life to the next generation. "The life of Lord Ram embodies the values of truth, duty, sacrifice, compassion and dignity, which remain relevant to society even today."

Smriti Irani on Cultural Values

Irani expressed her gratitude to the large gathering of people who attended the Ramlila along with their families. She said that the gathering comprised not only devotees of Lord Ram and believers in Sanatana Dharma, but also people who place their motherland, India, above all else. She expressed her gratitude and respect for all those present and stated that the values and culture of India are the greatest strengths of the nation and society.

She further highlighted that events such as Ramlila provide an important opportunity to connect with India’s cultural values and traditions. "The participation of people along with their families, she noted, reflects their faith in Indian culture."

Event Conclusion

At the conclusion of the event, the organisers expressed their gratitude to the guests, artistes, associates and audience members who contributed to the successful organisation of the Ramlila. The event conveyed a message of preserving India’s cultural heritage, encouraging family participation and passing on Sanatan values to the next generation.
