In a horrifying incident, an eight-year old girl was raped by her teacher for not completing her homework. The incident happened in the East Champaran district of Bihar on Tuesday. The girl is said to be fighting for her life in the hospital.
A student of Class 1 in CBSE-affiliated APJ Abdul Kalam Model School, she was allegedly assaulted by her 18-year old teacher Raj Kumar Choudhary. She was later raped by the same person in a room used by security guards. The father of the girl said that there were bloodstains on her uniform and that she was in great pain. It was the school employees who informed the girl's parents about her deteriorating condition.
While Choudhary has been arrested from his village, which is around 200 kilometers from Patna, police also suggested probing into the role of the staff of the school who had initially tries to suppress the matter. Meanwhile, the owner of the school Mohammad Kalam said that he was shocked by the incident.
