Bengaluru: Bengaluru could be heading for challenging days ahead with regard to the Coronavirus outbreak.
In the last 24 hours, the city has reported a record high of 5012 cases and 34 fatalities.
As per health experts, the virus which is said to be more active during winter season. And with the state capital barely a month away from the winter season, there is much to be worried about.
According to health experts, Bengaluru could become an epicenter for COVID-19.
Bruhar Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) officials have warned persons with comorbid conditions like asthma, heart complications, diabetes, and prone to lung infections may have to be careful over the next 3 months.
Experts also cautioned that children and the elderly whose immunity is low will have to be kept under close watch as they are more susceptible to infection.
As per reports, Bengaluru alone has 55,736 active cases currently. The virus has so far claimed 3,136 lives since april.
