5 of family found dead at their residence in West Bengal

Synopsis

Bodies of five people of the same family were found at their residence in West Bengal's Dakshin Dinajpur district on Sunday (November 8). The bodies were sent for post-mortem. Police are suspecting that the family members were murdered.  

A heart-wrenching incident took place in West Bengal's Dakshin Dinajpur district on Sunday (November 8). Bodies of five people of the same family were found at their residence. One body was found hanging and others had head injuries. Among the deceased, 2 are children and 2 are women.

A senior police officer said,” The tragic incident took place in Jamalpur village, and it is suspected that they were murdered.”

“One body was found hanging and others had head injuries. Prima facie seems to be a case of murder and subsequent suicide. We have initiated an investigation into the incident,” he added

The bodies were sent for post-mortem. The incident has caused a stir in the area. Locals have started panicking as soon as they got to know about the shocking incident. Police are trying to find out if the family had any enmity with their friends or relatives.
