
A group of 40 naxals, including nine women, accused of stealing ballots and ammunition during the 2013 Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, who surrendered to the police on Sunday were awarded a goodwill amount of ₹10,000 from the district collector.
The group included a woman, Subli Kashyap from East Bastar division, who had a reward of ₹ 8 lakh on her head, surrendered in naxal-affected Bastar district today, said Bastar Police.
The group also included 19 naxals from Darbha Division Committee (DVC) of Maoists, two from Kanger Veli Area Committee and 19 from East Bastar division and Mardapal Area Committee.
The naxals of this division were accused of stealing ballots and ammunition during the 2013 Assembly polls, police said.
