Amidst speculation of union Cabinet rejig, Home minister Amit Shah's official residence in Delhi became a hub of political activity with about 25 Lok Sabha MPs meeting.
The MPs from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh were at the meeting and speculations are rife that lobbying for a Cabinet berth has heightened.
Recently, the Modi government completed two years from his second term and is contemplating a reshuffle. PM Modi held a meeting with senior BJP leaders and Cabinet ministers.
In the meeting, Union Minister Rajnath Singh, DV Sadananda Gowda, V Muraleedharan and Nitin Gadkari were present. The meeting hints at a Cabinet reshuffle.
It is said that even before the beginning of the monsoon session in Lok Sabha, the central government will undergo a major reshuffle.
Earlier, there were reports of Jyotiradithya Scindia, former Assam CM Sarbananada Sonowal among few names that are floating to be included in the list of to-be-made union ministers.
