Citing a technical glitch, the Karnataka government had withheld salaries for ACB officers for five months. 220 officers, including 190 constables of five zones and 29 DySPs were working without pay for a few months now. Even though the District Drawing Officer (DDO) had sent the code, officers were not paid their salary.
Kannada Prabha had spread awareness on the news on June 20, in an article titled ‘ABC officers work without pay’.
Following this report, necessary action was taken by the Finance Department in the state. Necessary measures were taken to clear the technical glitch, and all 220 officers deployed throughout the state have got the salary, thanks to the media report.
