Many reports claim that the virus was leaked from the Wuhan lab by an intern who committed a mistake.
A media channel in the US, Fox News also reported that coronavirus was leaked from an intern working at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. US President Donald Trump had also reacted to the report.
Trump also spoke about conducting investigations into the matter. The media channel reported that the intern was "susceptible to the virus".
Prior to this, the US had funded a virus research by the Daily Mail which was investigating if the virus spread from a lab in Wuhan, China. According to the report, research is being conducted on bats brought from China's caves.
This lab in Wuhan is near the vet market where coronavirus seems to have originated. Many reports suggest that the virus spread from the same lab. The Wuhan Institute of Virology has been blamed by some officials for a leak of the virus.
