Reports of French striker Kylian Mbappe's exit have begun doing rounds again, with the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) man linked to a move away in January, despite having signed a new contract this summer. He scored the winner in the side's UEFA Champions League (UCL) 2022-23 clash at home to Portuguese champion Benfica, as PSG won 1-0 on Tuesday. However, his rumoured exit is what headlined the news after the match. On the same note, PSG advisor Luis Campos cleared the air about it, affirming that the Frenchman has held no talks regarding his exit during the upcoming January transfer window.

Interacting with Canal Plus, Campos clarified, "I am with Kylian Mbappe daily. He has never talked to me about leaving in January. It's not a statement from the player. It's [from the media], and to have such information before a match like this is very serious. That's why I'm here, to deny and say clearly that Kylian Mbappe has never spoken to me or the president [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] to leave PSG in January."

Meanwhile, PSG head coach Christophe Galtier spoke on the issue and told RMC Sport, "We talked a lot about him [Mbappe] this afternoon. I didn't talk about it with him. The objective is to stay focused on the match. He gave a lot and showed that he is a great player, focused on the game and the competition. We were all focused on the goal and the match."

Also, Mbappe's club teammate and defender Sergio Ramos does not believe in the reports' accuracy. "The only thing I can say is that Kylian is a friend and very happy here every day. He didn't leave last season. I don't believe the rumours," he reckoned.

On the other hand, French legend Thierry Henry told CBS Sports, "Nobody likes to be exposed to what you are not good at. You don't like it. But there is something bigger than anything else, and that is the club. Did they make him feel like the club was the most important thing, or did they make him feel like he was more important than the club?"
