Chelsea manages to survive the Southampton testThe Blues continues to remain unbeaten in the tournament under new coach Thomas Tuchel. However, it would have expected a better result on Saturday, as it visited Southampton. It was Mason Mount, who scored the lone goal for Chelsea through a penalty, while Tammy Abraham was criticised for his poor gameplay. Meanwhile, Chelsea has dropped to fifth place as a result of this 1-1 draw.

Goals from James Maddison and Harvey Barnes did the job for The Foxes, as it continues to remain in the third spot, locked on similar points with Manchester United, but behind on goal difference.

United dominates Newcastle United at homeUnited extended its unbeaten run in the tournament to six games, as it comfortably secured a 3-1 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Sunday. It was goals from Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes that did the job whilst staying put on second. United has to ensure at continuing this form in the upcoming two major away games, against Chelsea and Manchester City.

Everton scripts first in 22 years against LiverpoolUsually, the Merseyside derby at Anfield is a one-sided affair, with results mostly favouring the host. While on Saturday, too, it was a one-sided one, it happened to be from the visitor. With a 2-0 win, Everton managed to break the 22-year-old curse.
