“He had earlier promised to visit me in Mumbai. As I finished my shooting in Lucknow and arrived here, he came to meet. Since he has come home, definitely we share a good camaraderie. We had breakfast and he invited me to visit him in Nagpur,” Chakraborty added.

The actor clarified there is no political aspect to the meeting. When asked on his political prospects, the actor joked off speculations that he could be the chief ministerial face for the BJP in West Bengal.

Mithun Chakraborty resigned from Trinamool Congress in West Bengal in 2016. He was a Member of Rajya Sabha. The resignation was due to health reasons, said the actor.
