According to metro sources, the number of services will be increased from 228 to 240 on the North-South Line.
E-passes had been made mandatory for boarding the metro trains after the resumption of services.
On December, 2020, the Kolkata metro authorities announced that senior citizens, women and kids were allowed to board the metro without e-pass.
Kolkata Metro spokesperson Indrani Banerjee said, “No e-passes will be required for anyone to board the metro.”
The Kolkata metro railway services resumed from September 14 after remaining closed for several months owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
