In addition to closing all offline and online classes of schools falling under RUPSA, the association has decided to hold a hunger strike from January 6 in the city.

The association said there was no response to their demands, such as a moratorium on loans, postponement of EMI payment, and relief package from the government. Schools have invested in vehicles and new buildings. Another major hindrance was the mandatory No Objection Certificate by the PWD and fire department.

There are 12,800 schools throughout the state affiliated to RUPSA.
