Coronavirus: West Bengal registers over 3,000 COVID-19 cases in a day; Kolkata tops the list

Kolkata, the city of Knight Riders, once again topped the table, but this time in terms of the number of COVID cases. Kolkata, along with North 24 Parganas has topped the charts in terms of COVID-19 affected every 24 hours. The reason for panic is the number of the affected, which is almost 800 per day now. This daily average was around 700 in September.
 

According to the State Health Bulletin on October 4, 765 COVID cases were reported in a single day in Kolkata. With the number of COVID-19 cases reported touching 741 in North 24 Parganas, 3,357 people were infected with COVID-19 in a single day in West Bengal.

According to the State Health Bulletin, on Sunday, 62 people died of COVID-19 in West Bengal. Out of these, 17 were from Kolkata and 19 from North 24 Parganas.

A total of 59,197 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Kolkata. The total number of people infected in West Bengal is 2,70,331.

The total number of active victims in the state is 27,439. According to statistics, 2,986 people recovered on Sunday and were discharged from hospital.

However, the recovery rate in the state has increased slightly from 87.61% to 87.93%.
