CBI raids magician PC Sorcar Junior's residence in Kolkata

Officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out a raid at the residence of magician PC Sorcar Junior, on Friday (January 29) in connection with the probe into Tower Group’s chit fund scam.  

PC Sorcar Junior was the brand ambassador of Tower Group’s chit fund at one point of time. According to sources, the chit fund company is alleged to have transferred money to the bank account of PC Sorcar.

The officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation raided the premises of the magician’s Mukundapur residence located in Kolkata’s Eastern Metropolitan (EM) Bypass.

According to sources, the search operation was carried out to examine the details of the transactions between the magician and the chit fund company.
