BJP's 'Parivartan Yatra' got an obstacle at Beldanga in Murshidabad on Monday (February 8) morning. Police did not allow the BJP's Rath yatra to proceed on the BJP’s route due to fear of deteriorating law and order situation.

Last Saturday (February 6), BJP All India President JP Nadda inaugurated the ‘Paribartan Yatra’ from Nabadwip. The Rath was at the Bharat Sebashram Ashram in Beldanga on Sunday (February 7) night. Before leaving on Monday morning, the police said 'no' to the proposed route.

But the BJP refused to go the alternative route. The leaders and workers of the saffron camp are adamant in demanding to go ahead on their own route. This has created tension in the area.
