Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee has filed a defamation suit against BJP leader Shuvendu Adhikari. The case was filed in the Burdwan court on Thursday (February). The judge accepted the case.

According to Trinamool sources, after leaving the TMC, Suvendu Adhikari came down to the ground on behalf of the BJP and used one 'sentence after another' against Abhishek Banerjee from various public meetings. The TMC also alleged that 'offensive' comment was being made targeting Abhishek.
