Sayantika Banerjee- Eminent Tollywood actress Sayantika Banerjee joined the TMC ahead of the assembly polls in West Bengal. She joined the party in presence of party leaders and West Bengal Education minister Partha Chatterjee. After joining TMC, Sayantika said, “I was with Didi for the past 10 years but today I officially joined TMC. I request the people of Bengal to be with us and Didi. We know Bangla wants its own daughter.”
Dipankar Dey- The veteran actor joined the TMC and showed support to Mamata Banerjee. He has worked in many movies as hero, villain and character artist. He has acted in many art house and commercial films as well.
Lovely Maitra- Lovely Maitra is a well-known face in Bengali television industry. She has worked in Jol Nupur which was a Bengali television serial that aired on Bengali GEC STAR Jalsha. She was the main lead in the serial.
Koushani Mukherjee- Koushani Mukherjee joined the TMC in presence of Minister of State Bratya Basu and Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh. After joining the party, Koushani said, “Now the situation is turbulent. This seems to be the right time to make a decision. I have been a fan of Mamata Banerjee since childhood. My whole family follows one party, the TMC. So, it is a privilege for me to be a TMC leader.”
Piya Das- Eastern Indian Motion Pictures Association president and actress Piya Sengupta joined the TMC. After joining the party, Piya said, “There are some who are now singing off-key tunes. I hope my formal joining will get them back on track. I now have a bigger platform where I can speak about the industry in particular and people in general.”
Bharat Kaul- Bharat Kaul is a Tollywood actor mainly known for villainous and antagonistic roles in Bengali films. He has also appeared in Hindi films. He joined the TMC along with Dipankar Dey.
Sritama Bhattacharjee- Bengali television actress Sritama Bhattacharjee has become a popular name in Bengali television industry after playing the role of Jhilik in ‘Maa… Tomay Chara Ghum Asena’, a daily soap. Along with other actors, Sritama joined the TMC to support Mamata Banerjee.
Ranieeta Das- Ranieeta Das is a popular face in Bengali television industry. After joining the TMC,Ranieeta said, “We have been with Didi (CM Mamata Banerjee) for the past 10 years. We will shoulder whatever responsibility the party gives us.”
Souptick Chakraborty- “We have been supporters for so long and now we are workers. The younger generation can see how far Bengal has come in 10 years,” said Souptick after joining TMC.
Manali Dey- Popular Tollywood actress Manali Dey joined the TMC. She has joined the team along with some other Tollywood artists at Sahaganj in Hooghly. After joining Trinamool, the actress said, “Those who know me very well know that I will always follow Didi. I am an ordinary person. The Chief Minister of Bengal was by my side during my bad times. So, I will support her till the end.”
Raj Chakraborty- Actor Raj Chakraborty joined Mamata Banerjee’s party ahead of the assembly election in West Bengal. After joining TMC, Raj said, “Let Mamata Banerjee be the Chief Minister of the state again. That's why I came here. I have campaigned for the TMC before. This time I joined the team. I will tell everyone, come forward.”
Kanchan Mallick- The name of Kanchan Mallick is very prominent in Tollywood industry. He joined TMC along with other Bengali actors. After joining the party, he said, “I saw how everyone moved away from the side of the Chief Minister one by one during the crucial time. This behavior is very bad. Looking at everything, it seems that this time we need to stand by Mamata Banerjee’s side. So I joined TMC.”
Saayoni Ghosh- Tollywood actor Saayoni Ghosh formally joined the Trinamool Congress in the presence of chief minister Mamata Banerjee at a party meeting in Dunlop. After joining TMC, Saayoni said, “There is no reason I will overlook all the good work done by Mamata Banerjee. When I was trolled by BJP supporters, she stood by me. She will always have my back.”
June Malia- Tollywood actress June Malia joined the TMC along with other actors recently. After joining the party, June said, “Will there be a game? I'm with my sister. I will be with her forever. I don't understand politics. I understand people and I understand Mamata Banerjee.”
