Low-Pressure
A low-pressure system over the northwest Bay of Bengal is the main reason for this wet spell. The IMD has confirmed that this system is strengthening as it moves. This has activated the monsoon, bringing much-needed rain to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. For the next two days, August 24 and 25, expect heavy downpours. This is good news for farmers and residents who have been eagerly awaiting the monsoon's revival.
