When Sidharth Shukla reacted to Pakistan's PM Imran Khan's comment on 'rising rape cases'; here's what he said

Late actor Sidharth Shukla had once shared his views on Pakistan's PM Imran Khan's thoughts about rising cases of rape; today, we look back to some of his statements that grabbed limelight

Sidharth Shukla is no more. This headline is all over the Internet today. Sidharth Shukla's fans, co-actors and friends are mourning since morning when the news was flashed about his passing. 

Sidharth died in Mumbai after a massive heart attack. Around 10.30 am, the Balika Vadhu actor was declared dead by Mumbai's Cooper Hospital doctors. According to PTI's report, he took some medicine before sleeping and did not wake up. 

Sidharth was 40 years old is survived by his mother Rita Shukla and two sisters. Sidharth’s family informed Mumbai Police that there was no foul play or he was under stress or ‘mental pressure’. 

A few months ago, Sidharth was in the news of sharing his views on Pakistan's PM Imran Khan's thoughts about rising cases of rape and also on the newspaper that wrote it. Sidharth was very vocal on social media and loved interacting with his fans. 

Shukla recently gave out a strong reaction to Pakistan PM Imran Khan's quote on rising cases of rape, linking it to vulgarity.

He replied to a tweet by the New York Times, which has the quote by Pakistan's PM that read, "Not every man has willpower. If you keep on increasing vulgarity, it will have consequences."

Reportedly, Imran Khan spoke about vulgarity and not all men having willpower. To this, Sidharth stated that men who don't have willpower should be castrated. Shukla's reply read, "Wah re wah duniya walo .... well in that case let’s consider castrating men who don’t have willpower."
