But, Priyanka once revealed in an interview with UK's Tatler magazine that her grandmother (dad's mum) doubted her marriage and often used to say, "Who's going to marry her? She can't cook." To which her dad always supported her and used to say "I will send a cook with her. She never needs to go to the kitchen."

In the same interview, Priyanka says that her mother couldn't cook too, and her father taught her how to. And, he taught her mother his favourite dishes to cook. Priyanka recalls her father to be a 'clever man'.
