When 30-year-old actor forcibly kissed 15-year-old Rekha; became victim of on-set molestation

Rekha is one of the most talented and beautiful actresses in India. With her numerous hits and a few big awards, Rekha is counted among the A-listers in Bollywood. It is said that Rekha had worked in beyond 400 movies till that time. 

But did you know, it is reported that Rekha had also faced on-set molestation in a very early stage of her career? We found a piece of information/ report which mentioned that in 1969, during the shooting of Hindi film Anjana Safar this scary thing happened.

Rekha was barely 15 when 30 years old Bengali film star Biswajeet Chatterjee forced his lips upon hers and kissed for five long minutes after saying action. 

Rekha kept her eyes closed, but tears dripped down and the other side, the film crew started to cheer and whistled behind the camera. This creepy episode is mentioned in Rekha's biography, Rekha: The Untold Story, written by Yaseer Usman.

Read what the book has mentioned, "The shooting of Anjana Safar was underway in Bombay's Mahboob Studio. Raja Nawathe was the director and cinematographer of the film. In the very first schedule of the film, Kuljeet Pal, Raja and Biswajeet had hatched a plan, with Rekha as the unsuspecting victim. That day a romantic scene was to be filmed between Rekha and Biswajeet. Every last detail of the strategy had been decided before the shoot."

Biswajeet had later clarified that he should not be blamed for the disturbance, but the director Raja Nawathe as the entire idea was his. Biswajeet also alleges that he followed the director's directions and felt that the kiss was crucial to the story. "It was not for my enjoyment, but important for the film. Rekha felt betrayed and was furious," Biswajeet had said.
