It's Sridevi's birth anniversary today. The actress who left us way too soon would've turned 58. With a massive fan following across the country, she was also known as 'India's first female superstar'. In 2018, Sridevi succumbed to a cardiac arrest at the age of 54 in Dubai.
 

The actress was one of the top actors in the 80s and 90s and was featured opposite many male superstars. Sridevi was also acted in film industries in different languages. She started her career in Bollywood as a child actor in Rani Mera Naam and Laxmi’s sibling in Julie.
 

Did you know, Steven Spielberg once offered Sridevi a big Hollywood film. According to reports, the actress was approached for Jurassic Park.
 

But, the part that Sridevi was proposed was a small role. When she was officed the film, she peaked her career; so she turned down the Hollywood film. The part didn't meet her stature.
 

Sridevi also refused one of Shah Rukh Khan's biggest hit film Darr featuring Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawala. In an interview, the late actress had said, "After Chandni and Lamhe, I feel Darr would have been an ordinary character for me."
