Filmmaker Rhea Kapoor, who recently got married to her bestfriend and long-time boyfriend, Karan Boolani, is grabbing headlines for her latest social media post.
Rhea took to her Insta stories last night and wrote how brands should stop sending her collaboration requests for Karva Chauth. FYI: Karva Chauth is a festival dedicated to the long life of husbands and the women who believe in it fast for the entire day (without drinking water) to pray for the well-being of their husbands. This year it is on October 24.
Rhea wrote, "Hi. Happy Sunday. Respectfully please don't reach out to me for karva chauth gifting or collabs. It's not something Karan or I believe in. We respect other couples who partake and can even enjoy the festivities while they do. It's just not for me. Or us. So the last thing I want to do is promote something I don't believe in and don't really agree with the spirit it comes from.”
Rhea and Karan Boolani got married in August and went for their honeymoon in the Maldives. According to reports, the couple dated for more than 12 years. Their wedding ceremony was quite simple only close friends and family were invited.
