Once upon a time in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar was called a ladies man because of his strings of affairs and link-ups with his co-stars. In the early 90s, Akshay was reportedly dated Raveena Tandon, Pooja Batra, Shilpa Shetty after got married to actress Twinkle Khanna.

In an interview in 2000, Shilpa Shetty opened up about breakup, cheating, betrayal and how can come out of that. She allegedly claimed that Kumar was two-timing her with Twinkle Khanna, her best friend.

Talking about Twinkle, Shilpa said she is not upset with her; the fault is of Akshay, who cheated on her, "No, I'm not at all upset with her. What's her fault if my man was cheating on me? There is no point blaming any other woman, it was entirely his fault."
During the same interview, Shilpa swore that she would never work with Akshay again and said it is not easy to forget the past. "Akshay Kumar used me and conveniently dropped me after he found someone else. The only person I was upset with was him. But I'm sure he'll get it all back. It's not easy to forget the past so soon, but I'm glad I've had the strength to move on. Today, he's a forgotten chapter as far as I'm concerned. I will never work with him again," she had said.
Emotional Shilpa talked about the situation during the filming of Dhadkan, "I wanted our film to get over and be released so that it wouldn't come in the way of my producers. I couldn't harass them just because my personal life was turning into shambles. So, I chose to wait till the film Dhadkan was done with."
She added, "When you love someone and all along, don't realise that you are being taken for a ride, it can be very annoying." Later, after this interview was out, Akshay was in the limelight, and he rubbished all the allegations levelled upon him.
Cut to the present, Akshay is married to Twinkle Khanna and are the parents of two Aarav Kumar and Nitara Kumar. On the other hand, Shilpa is married to Raj Kundra, and they have two kids Samisha Shetty Kundra and Viaan Raj Kundra. Recently, Shilpa's personal life was in the news because of her businessman husband. A few months ago, he was arrested by the Mumbai Police because of his connection with an adult film racket.
