A few days ago, Bollywood star Salman Khan met weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, who won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Both also clicked a few pictures that went video on social media.
The 55-year-old shared a picture with her on his social media pages. “Happy for u silver medalist @mirabai_chanu .. lovely meeting with u … best wishes always!”, Salman captioned the picture.
Within a few minutes, the picture when viral. Salman was seen wearing a traditional Manipuri scarf around his neck on a black polo t-shirt. The image received positive comments from his fans also got trolled for the same.
In the picture, as we said, Salman was wearing a white scarf with two photos of Sangai deer imprinted on it. Sangai is an endangered subspecies of brow-antlered fawns found only in North-East Manipur.
Netizens started trolling Salman over his alleged involvement in 1998 blackbuck poaching case. One user commented, “Kala hiran vo bhi muffler par.” “Bohot Memes Banenge…Ab Phirse Unka Guzara Hoga.,” said another. A third remark read, “Hiran Devil Ke Piche.. Devil Hiran Ke Piche… Too Much Fun.”
The actor was sentenced to five years imprisonment for killing two endangers blackbucks during shooting for his film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. Later, he was granted bail.
On the work front, Salman's action thriller ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ with Ayush Sharma and Pragya Jaiswal will all be set to hit the screen soon. He is currently busy with Tiger 3, featuring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
