Ram Gopal Varma hasn't cleared payments of artistes, technicians, workers: Legal Notice served

A legal notice has been served on Ram Gopal Varma as he hasn't cleared payments of his artistes, technicians and workers, allegedly. Read on.
 

Bollywood director, Ram Gopal Varma, has recently made it to the headlines for not paying his artistes, technicians, and workers for his recent project.

He has also been served legal notice by Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) over non-payment dues. According to media reports, RGV has not paid around the whopping amount of Rs 1.25 crore to artistes, technicians and workers.

As RGV hasn't replied to any of the notice, FWICE decided that non of its 32 unions will work with the filmmaker. In a statement, FWICE President BN Tiwari said, "We also sent a letter to the Chief Minister of Goa on September 10, 2020, regarding this. We wanted Ram Gopal Varma to clear the dues of poor technicians, artistes and workers but he never did. Hence, we have decided to not work with him in the future. We have also notified Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association (IMPPA) and Producers Guild of India (GUILD), among other unions about this."

The president further mentioned that the notice was sent on September 17, 2020, and that RGV was ordered to clear the dues which he refused to do.
