As per the reports, the actress de-glammed herself to play the role of a village girl. But Apte said that she felt exploited on the sets.

Speaking to the magazine, she said, "I was unsure if I wanted to do the film. I feltexploited because I was not getting paid much."

"They told me I will be doing one film, but then made me shoot in Tamil and Telugu as well. So I was like, this is a lot of work and commitment. I felt my time and talent wasn't being optimised."

The actress also said that the film had big actors and would the shoot would never start on time. She further added that it made her question her career.
