Anurag Kashyap reveals the real reason why Parineeti didn't want to work with Sushant and how he ghosted him several times

We all remember Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra's on-screen chemistry in the movie Shuddh Desi Romance. The actors played their role with ease, romancing on screen and showing the modern day relationship problems. But do you know, Parineet didn't want to work with Sushant.

He revealed that he wanted Sushant to be a part of Hasee Toh Phasee, but Sushant had signed the three film deal with Yashraj at that time and co-starring Parineeti, but she didn't want to work with him, said Anurag.

Film maker Anurag Kashyap had tweeted about late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and how he ghosted him several times when he wanted to work with him. Continous ghosting brought a time when Anurag didn't want to work with him again.

In a conversation with journalist Faye D'Souza Anurag was quoted, "He was supposed to do the film (Hasee Toh Phasee) and we had to find an actress and we reached out to Parineeti Chopra."

"She said ‘I don’t want to work with a television actor’. So we explained to her that who Sushant Singh is, he is doing Kai Po Che, he is doing PK and by the time Hasee Toh Phasee comes out, he will not just be a television actor. And she was doing a film called Shuddh Desi Romance and she must have gone and spoken to YRF, they called him and said ‘Why don’t you come and do Shuddh Desi Romance and not do that film?’ And he disappeared on us.”

Anurag again tried approaching Sushant in 2016 before the release of MS Dhoni, for another character. He was looking for an actor who could play the role of person based out of UP.After Dhoni released and went onto became a hit, Sushant never called him back. According to sources, he did not feel bad, he just moved on and made Mukkabaaz.
