Lohri marks the ending of the winter solstice and the beginning of the happy sunny days for harvesting. It's a festival of warmth, happiness and delicious foods. It is mainly celebrated in Punjab and Punjabi traditions. One of the most important rituals is to fire wood-logs to pray the Fire God and Sun God to bring the brighter days ending the dark, chilly days.
