There have been many rumours about Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's unhappy marriage for over a month. In many instances, the actress evaded queries from the media on the subject. However, on Saturday (October 2), the actress resorted to social media to announce her split from Naga Chaitanya.

According to reports on several media websites, Samantha and Naga's families attempted but failed to address their difficulties. Both attended marriage counselling sessions, according to reports, but nothing appears to have changed.

She posted a note to her Instagram followers, telling them that they should "pursue (their) own paths."

“To all our well-wishers,” the actress said on Instagram. Chay and I have chosen to separate as husband and wife to follow our individual paths after much research and thinking.

Meanwhile, according to several sources, the Akkineni family is reported to have negotiated alimony worth about Rs 200 crore.

The actress, on the other hand, has refused to accept any payment. According to sources close to the actress, Samantha has stated that she is a self-made individual who does not require alimony.
 

When asked about relocating to Mumbai during an Instagram Q&A session, she said, "I don't know where this storey began, but it's not real, just like a hundred other stories." Hyderabad is and always will be my home. Hyderabad is providing me with all I need, and I want to stay here for the foreseeable future.”

Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya met on the set of their film Ye Maya Chesave and married in 2017 in a romantic destination wedding in Goa. They exchanged vows first in a traditional Hindu ceremony, then in a Christian ceremony in front of close friends and family. The storey, however, has come to an end.
