Today is Akshay Kumar's birthday, but we know it this, not a happy day for him because yesterday, he lost his mother. Today, Kumar is the most watchable actor in India. He worked with many top actresses in his career and gave several hits in a row.
One of such actresses, Priyanka Chopra, was gaining popularity in early-mid 20s and was signing films after films with big stars and one of them was Akshay.
During that time, some news and rumours were going around that Priyanka has an alleged love affair with Akshay Kumar. At the time Akshay was already to Twinkle Khanna. According to reports, Twinkle had criticised Kumar over this alleged affair and made him swear never to work with Priyanka again.
Akshay and Priyanka's on-screen chemistry in the film Andaaz was so intense that it came to everyone's notice.
Post Andaaz, Kumar and Priyanka did three films– Aitraaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Waqt. After the warning from his wife, Akshay had reportedly stopped working with Priyanka.
During one episode of Aap Ki Adalat session with Rajat Sharma, he was asked about his alleged affair with Priyanka. To which he said, "There is nothing like that. I have worked on five films with Priyanka. It's not like I don't want to work with her. Except for Rani Mukerji, I have worked with every heroine. If there is an opportunity, I will surely work with Priyanka Chopra."
Akshay further said, "Let us call Priyanka Chopra and check if she has an issue with me. That way you will know for sure."
