As Afghanistan recently scripted a six-wicket win in the second Test against Zimbabwe in Abu Dhabi, it was Rashid's brilliance that once again became the talking point. Besides his 11-wicket haul in the game, he also went on to bowl 99.2 overs, which equals 596 deliveries.

As a result, he has now bowled the most overs in a single Test in the 21st century. Consequently, he left behind great Australian leggie Shane Warne, who held the record to date for having bowled 98 overs (588 deliveries) against South Africa in 2002.

Overall, Rashid has bowled the second most deliveries in single Test history. The record for the same is held by legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, who had bowled 683 deliveries against England in 1998.

Furthermore, Rashid dismissed five Zimbabweans via leg-before during the second innings. It is the joint highest by a bowler in a single Test innings, with Pakistan's Saeed Ajmal the last to do so against England in 2012.
