According to PBKS, Rahul complained of severe abdominal pain and was rushed to a hospital before being diagnosed for the same. Consequently, he is likely to miss the remainder of the tournament for the side, as recovery following the surgery usually takes around three weeks.

"KL Rahul complained of a severe abdomen pain last night and after not responding to medication, he was taken to the emergency room for further tests, which revealed that he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis.
