Rohan Gavaskar, son of Sunil Gavaskar, is also a former Indian cricketer. He played for India in 2004, but could not make a lasting impression. He is currently retired and does commentary for the Board of Control for Cricket in India in the domestic circuit.

The fresh controversy surrounding Virat Kohli has been making headlines since Thursday night, especially after former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar made some discouraging remarks against the current Indian and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper. However, Gavaskar's son, Rohan, seems to have put an end to it.

As for the controversy, it all started after Kohli was dismissed for a mere single in RCB's game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), while his side went on to lose by 97 runs. Following his dismissal, Gavaskar, who was commentating for Star Sports said, “Inhone lockdown me to bas Anushka ki gendon ki practice ki hai (He has only practised in Anushka's deliveries during the lockdown).”

Following the incident, fans invaded social media, criticising the former Indian skipper for his comments, labelling it as 'double standard'. Some even went on to urge the official broadcaster to get him removed from the commentary panel. Later, Anuskha took to her Instagram handle, where she questioned Gavaskar's comments on linking her and also blaming her for Kohli's poor performance, besides calling his remarks as 'distasteful'.

Although Gavaskar's statement was misunderstood, he seemingly had referred to a video that went viral a few days ago, where Kohli was seen practising at home, as Anushka was bowling to him. On the same note, Rohan took to his Twitter handle to post a cryptic tweet.

As you can see above, the tweet contains a cryptic picture, saying "I love cholocate. Read it again. This is how you fail your exams."

While it might sound confusing to some, but what upon analysing and decoding the tweet further, we have realised that what Rohan was referring to is that his father's comments were misunderstood initially. Besides, it was being contexted in the wrong way and was blown out of proportion.

This is not the first time Kohli and Anushka have been criticised for the former underperforming on the cricket pitch. Prior to their marriage, Anushka was criticised and being referred to as a distraction for Kohli, every time the latter failed to score. It also happened during the 2015 ICC World Cup, when Kohli had been dismissed for cheap in the semis against Australia, which Anuskha was spectating from the stands.

Rohan, who is a former Indian cricketer, has played 11 ODIs for India. Being an all-rounder, he scored 151 runs at an average of 18.87, including a half-century, while he claimed a wicket at an economy of 6.16. Currently, he is retired and mostly does commentary for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the domestic circuit.
