MS Dhoni (Lieutenant Colonel, Indian Territorial Army): On the top of the list is the former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni. As a cricketer, he needs no introduction. As a skipper, he holds ample records, having led India to success in all major ICC tournaments, besides leading the side to number one in Tests. Owing to his success, he was conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel by the Indian Territorial Army, in 2011. He is only the second cricketer, after Kapil Dev, to earn the rank.

Sachin Tendulkar (Group Captain, Indian Air Force): Tendulkar, too, is a many of many records in world cricket, and is considered one of the gods of the sport. He too had played a huge role in leading India to the 2011 ICC World Cup win. Being already an established and renowned cricketer, he was conferred with the honorary rank of Group Captain by the Indian Air Force in 2010.
