Cricketers undoubtedly give priority to the sport. However, it is not just cricket they are restricted too, as some top cricketers also have jobs in other sectors, while some also hold high ranks in government jobs. Take a guess on who could be those cricketers.

When it comes to Indian cricketers, they are highly devoted to their sport, as they leave no stones unturned to make a name for themselves, be it in the domestic or international circuit. However, some don't just limit it to cricket.

MS Dhoni (Lieutenant Colonel, Indian Territorial Army): On the top of the list is the former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni. As a cricketer, he needs no introduction. As a skipper, he holds ample records, having led India to success in all major ICC tournaments, besides leading the side to number one in Tests. Owing to his success, he was conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel by the Indian Territorial Army, in 2011. He is only the second cricketer, after Kapil Dev, to earn the rank.

Sachin Tendulkar (Group Captain, Indian Air Force): Tendulkar, too, is a many of many records in world cricket, and is considered one of the gods of the sport. He too had played a huge role in leading India to the 2011 ICC World Cup win. Being already an established and renowned cricketer, he was conferred with the honorary rank of Group Captain by the Indian Air Force in 2010. Besides, he is also a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Rajya Sabha.

KL Rahul (Assistant Manager, Reserve Bank of India): Most of you must have seen Indian wicketkeeper-opener KL Rahul in ads pertaining to banks and money. Ever wondered why? That's because he currently holds the rank of Assistant Manager in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Owing to his steady rise in Indian cricket, it was in 2018 when then RBI Governor, SS Mundhra, had recommended him for the post, as Rahul happily accepted the role. Besides Rahul, his Test teammate, Umesh Yadav, too holds the post.

Yuzvendra Chahal (Income Tax Officer): Chahal might be one of the funkiest, but effective spinners in Indian cricket, at a young age of 30. Being a consistent player for India, especially in the limited-overs, he was roped in as an Income Tax Officer by the Income Tax Department in 2018.

Joginder Sharma (DSP, Haryana): When it comes to Joginder Sharma, most of the fans remember him for bowling the final over of the 2007 ICC World T20 final, where he had dismissed Misbah-ul-Haq to allow India to win the title. Although he faded away ever since, he was immediately offered the role of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Haryana, as he is currently retired from cricket and serves the police in Pehowa region of the Kurukshetra district.
