With the two Super Overs today, the edition has become the one with the most Super Overs in history. While there have been four Super Overs this season, the previous best was in 2013 and 2019, which saw a couple each. Meanwhile, it was the first time in the IPL that a match had two Super Overs, besides being the fifth instance in T20 cricket.
