IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings honour MS Dhoni-led squad ahead of first game; see photos

Dubai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) honoured their players and support staff ahead of their opening match against defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2020. The felicitation ceremony took place in Dubai on Thursday (September 17) with captain MS Dhoni, coach Stephen Fleming, players, officials in attendance. See the pictures from the ceremony. "Our customary pre-season dinner turned into a memorable lunch this time and our Lions walked away with some Super Duper Awards.#Thala Dhoni for leading the team with the willow and scoring the most runs for the Super Kings in IPL 2019," CSK said.

Imran Tahir was not present but was presented the award later. "Parasakthi Express for bagging the Purple Cap in 2019, also the most wickets in an edition by any spinner. Had he not been quarantining we could have seen him sprint to Abu Dhabi already," CSK said.
